Carolina Bracho

Mexico is my country and my place of inspiration. I have developed different collections inspired by the art and culture of this beautiful country. I like to use silver in my designs, because I believe it to be a noble material and one of the finest quality metals in the world.

I aim to create objects that have a profound meaning and that inspire people to wear them on their bodies. For 25 years I have been dedicated to design, in particular, silver jewelry design.

My collections are in exhibition and for sale in Mexico and abroad, at museum stores and design galleries. Currently, my studio is located in Mexico City, which is dedicated to design, production and teaching.

México ha sido mi país y mi lugar de inspiración. He desarrollado diferentes colecciones, inspiradas en el arte y en la cultura de México. Utilizo primordialmente la plata, siendo un material tan noble y el de mejor calidad en el mundo. Quiero crear objetos que tengan un significado particular y que creen el deseo de añadir un ornamento a nuestro cuerpo. Hace 25 años estoy dedicada al diseño, en particular, el diseño de joyas en plata.

Las colecciones se encuentran en exhibición y en venta en México y en el extranjero, en tiendas de museos y galerías de diseño. Actualmente, mi estudio se encuentra en la Cd. de México. Dedicada al diseño, producción y docencia.

The design is a free reinterpretation of different varieties of fish figures in the Mexica culture, belonging to the Great Temple of Tenochtitlán.

From Mexico’s Pre-Hispanic culture, this piece is inspired by the ancient God Chalchiuhtlicue, who is known as the “rain goddess.”

Chalchiuhtlicue Necklace

From Mexico’s pre-hispanic culture, this piece is inspired by the ancient God Chalchiuhtlicue, who is known as the “rain goddess.”

This necklace designed with over 200 beads are cut out of shell and they represent the heads of serpents, rattlesnakes, frogs, snails and fish. The design is a free interpretation of these forms.
